Red Bull Final 5 jets into the Nissan Irish Open The Red Bull Final 5 – the golf competition that rewards the best player over the final five holes – will be played at the Nissan Irish Open. Europe’s star golfers will battle it out to discover who is the best player when it comes to the crunch.
The best player over the final five holes across all four days of the Nissan Irish Open will not only become the Red Bull Final 5 Champion but will also collect a prize that will have even the most jet-set Tour player fully focused on finishing well.
The Red Bull Final 5 Champion will win ‘air miles’ on a private jet to transport him, family and friends as he competes on the European Tour this season. The prize plane on offer is the Cessna Citation Excel, a state of the art light jet with the all the comforts of a midsize aircraft. Capable of speeds up to 500mph, the jet can reach 42,000 feet from take-off in just 20 minutes.
The closing holes are where most mistakes happen on a golf course, often due to fatigue. It is revealing that over the final five holes on the entire European Tour last season, Ernie Els, the European Order of Merit winner had the best average, almost a full shot better than his nearest rival. At tour level, Red Bull will be running the Final 5 competition as part of the European Challenge Tour in 2005 once more.
Red Bull Final 5 Club Competition 2005 In 2004, Red Bull Final 5 club competition was played in 100 clubs north and south of the border. In 2005 we aim to reach up to 18,000 golfers by running 180 Red Bull Final 5 club competitions in the island of Ireland.
The club competitions will take place between the 1st April and the 31st July across the island of Ireland. Each club winner will qualify to compete in the Red Bull Final 5 regional finals in Mid August in The Heritage GC, Laois and Headfort GC, Meath.
The winner from each regional final will qualify to compete in the World Finals in TPC Sawgrass in Florida against a host of other European countries including the UK, Germany, Spain, Sweden and the USA with more to follow. At Sawgrass, Red Bull will partner some of the US’s great Tour golfers and coaches to help make this a golfing experience to remember.

Enter the Corporate Golf ChallengeGTV covered the final of The Irish Independent SDS Corporate Golf Challenge. The event was open to any company, organisation, partnership, association or body (not golf societies), based in Ireland which held a business/company golf day.
The National Final took place at Druids Glen Golf Club. The National winner represented Ireland at the World Corporate Golf Challenge Final.

Hollywood Lakes Golf Club - new website listing
Hollywood Lakes Golf Club is located on the outskirts of Ballyboughal village, in North County Dublin, only 20 minutes drive from Dublin Airport. Consequently, it is ideally located for golfers travelling from abroad.
Dsigned by Mel Flanagan, who made major improvements last year, this 18 hole parkland golf course measures 6, 890 yards from the championship tees and includes a 605-yard par five and comprises a par 72. This course is truly a test for every category of golfer. Currently their are 11lakes and water features that sees water impact on nine of the 18 holes.
Combine this element of the design with a multitude of trees and it is easy to see where the challenge emanates from. More bunkers and man-made hazards are to be introduced in the coming years as the club attempts to maintain its high standards. A full bar and catering service is available in the friendly atmosphere of the clubhouse.
