Ciaran Monaghan,
professional golfer since 1978, joined the European Tour in 1979 and played fulltime for nine years. Ciaran trained and qualified as a teaching professional under John Jacobs who is now coach to Jose Maria Olazabal. Ciaran has spent his teaching career running and operating driving ranges and golf academies. While at St. Margarets Golf and Country Club as a professional he worked closely with Denis Kane to bring the Ladies Irish Open and the Seniors Irish Open not only to Ireland but to St. Margarets.
Since 1996 Ciaran has combined his golf teaching with work as an International TV Golf Commentator. Ciaran has also presented a video titled "Winning Shots and Penalty Drops" The informative tutorial is a "must see" for any golfer hoping to shave some strokes off his or her scores.
Ciaran is based at the new
Druids Glen Golf Academy, Co. Wicklow
. The complex attached to the world famous golf course has a driving range and 30 outdoor grass bays. Three high quality and challenging Golf Holes, Putting Green and Practice Bunkers.
